JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The District Executive Director of Geita District Council invites qualified Tanzanians to apply for thirteen (13) job vacancies in this Council after receiving approval from the President’s Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance as per the following breakdown:
1.0 RECORDS MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT GRADE II - 4 POSTS
1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. To search for records/documents/files required by users.
ii. To control the receipt and registration of records/documents.
iii. To analyze, list, and arrange records/documents into groups according to subjects (Classification and Boxing) for office use.
iv. To store/arrange records/documents on file racks/cabinets in records rooms.
v. To file letters, documents, etc., into appropriate files.
vi. To handle requests for records/documents from Government institutions.
vii. To perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
1.1.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
Must have completed Form Four (Form IV) or Form Six (Form VI) and possess a Diploma in Records Management in the field of Registry/Archives from Government-recognized institutions.

2.0 DRIVER GRADE II - 9 POSTS
2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. To inspect the vehicle before and after trips to determine safety status.
ii. To transport staff to various official destinations.
iii. To perform minor vehicle repairs.
iv. To collect and distribute various documents.
v. To fill out and keep records of all trips in the logbook.
vi. To clean the vehicle.
vii. To perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
2.1.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
Must have a Form Four (Form IV) Certificate and a Class E or C driving license, with at least one (1) year of driving experience without causing an accident, along with training certificates that qualified them for the respective license class. Must have attended a Basic Driving Course offered by VETA or another Government-recognized institution.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
i. All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45 years, except those already employed in the Public Service.

iii. All applicants must attach a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) with a functional address, active phone numbers, and an Email address, along with names of three reliable referees.
iv. All applications must attach certified copies of Academic and Professional Certificates by an Advocate/Lawyer—Form IV and Form VI Certificates for those who attained that level, and certificates of professional trainings according to job requirements.
Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates – Form IV and VI Examination Certificates – Computer Certificate, Professional Certificates from respective boards.
v. Testimonials, Provisional Results, Statements of Results, and Form IV and Form VI Results Slips WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
vi. Applicants who studied outside Tanzania must ensure their certificates are verified and validated by the relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, and NACTE).
vii. Applicants retired from the Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have written permission from the Chief Secretary.
viii.Applicants who are already employed in public sector entry-level positions should not apply and must follow instructions in Circular No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated 30 November, 2010.
ix. Presentation of forged documents or false information will lead to legal action.
x. Applicants with names differing across documents must submit a sworn Deed Poll registered by the Ministry of Lands.
xi. The deadline for submitting applications is 18 November, 2025.
