TZS 426.5 BILLION DISBURSED TO 135,240 STUDENTS
The Higher Education Students’ Loans Board (HESLB) today, Friday, October 24, 2025, has released the first batch of loan and grant allocations totaling 135,240 students. This number includes the following groups of students:
i. 40,952 undergraduate students and 5,342 diploma students have been allocated loans amounting to TZS 152 billion.
ii. 615 Samia Scholarship students have been allocated grants amounting to TZS 3.3 billion.
iii. 88,331 continuing students have been allocated loans amounting to TZS 271.2 billion after passing their previous year’s examinations.
The Loans Board will continue to release other batches of loans and scholarships as it receives admission confirmations for first-year students and examination results for continuing students.
Furthermore, the Loans Board reminds all loan and grant applicants to keep checking the status of their applications through ‘SIPA’ as the processes of analysis and allocation continue.
